The Porto striker, Hulk, has confirmed that he has been approached by the English club Chelsea, but, he said that he hasn’t yet taken any decision about his future. He would have to consider many things before taking any decision. Probably, he would decide about the offer of Chelsea at the end of this week. After the exit of Dildier Drogba, Chelsea is looking to sign a striker and Hulk is said to be the first choice of Roberto Di Matteo, the manager of Chelsea.
Hulk is currently the player of the Portuguese club F.C. Porto. He joined Porto in 2008. He scored his first goal for Porto against C.F. Os Belenenses. He quickly established himself as the regular member of Porto’s first team. His contract was extended by the club at the start of the 2009-10 season for the next 5 years. Hulk wasn’t able to perform that well in the 2009-10 season, but, in the next season, his performance was emphatic. In the first 16 games that he played in the 2010-11 season, he scored 16 goals. Hulk continued to flourish in the last season as well. In the last season, he played 53 games and scored 36 goals.
Not only Chelsea, two other clubs i.e. Manchester City and Tottenham have also shown interest in the Brazilian striker. Hulk said that he hasn’t had any discussion with his agent on the transfer issues. He would take any decision after discussing with his agent. But, he insisted that he desperately wants to play in the Champions League. Meanwhile, Roberto Di Matteo has said that Hulk is a brilliant striker and he performed amazingly well for Porto in the last season. If he decides to join Chelsea, it would be great for the club.
