@MrBaggies4lyf I never said they were THE greatest, i said they were AMONG the greatest. I even said that Federer and Nadal could and probably will surpass them. I never said we were responsible for everything, nor did I imply that. I was just pointing out that, contrary to your belief, we actually provided SOMETHING, not everything. You’re the one being arrogant and displaying that all-too-familiar English superiority complex.
@WoolyWoolwine83 so there not the bets players every to play the game then… prick. We created hockey, where would canada have got the idea from it field hockey didn’y exist? Agassi has just admitted to doing drugs whilst playing tennis, so i dont think he should be classed as “the greatest player of all time”. Your an arrogant american who generally thinks you are responisble for everything aha.
@MrBaggies4lyf “agassi, macenroe, samprass” Three of the greatest tennis players of all time, thank you very much. Until federer and Nadal surpass them, that is.
“Without great britain ice hockey wouldn’t have been created”
Switch out “great britain” with “canada” and you’re good to go. Then again, Canada was a british creation, so if that’s what you meant….
@WoolyWoolwine83 that comments really pissed me off. Fair enough the womens game u have. But how the fuck have u perfected male tennis, u had agassi, macenroe, samprass. Golf tiger did smash it and 2bf, theres only like 5 golfers i know and hes one of them. Without great britain ice hockey wouldn’t have been created
@MrBaggies4lyf Also, there are some sports that we didn’t invent, but perfected and helped made them popular as well (tennis, golf). Oh, and don’t forget other Olympic sports as well.
@MrBaggies4lyf Those 6 countries (minus Japan and Italy) compose the majority of the English-speaking world not named Britain or India. I never said that soccer (yes I called it that, deal with it) wasn’t the most popular sport in the world. I’m just saying that there are sports that are either american inventions/very popular in America that are popular worldwide as well, and are *also* in the top 10. (baseball, basketball, volleyball). English sports aren’t they only ones out there, ya know.
@WoolyWoolwine83 haha ok 6 countries call it that compared to the rest of the world. The fact of the matter is that all the sports i have named that we created are in the top 10 most popular sports so please bore me later. You mention a sport that you had fuck all creating ice hockey, please name a sport what is more popular than football and ill apologise…
@MrBaggies4lyf “Only you yanks call it soccer,”
I guess I’ll have to correct the Canadians, Aussies, Kiwis, South Africans, and Japanese that call it “soccer” as well (Where was the final of the World Cup held this past summer? Oh, yeah, SOCCER CITY STADIUM). I guess I’ll have to correct the Italians for calling it “calcio” as well. Besides, “soccer” was an old ENGLISH term, shortening “association football” to differentiate it from rugby football. Now you know. And knowing is half the battle.
@WoolyWoolwine83 Basketball is no where near as popular as FOOTBALL not soccer you fuckin mug.Check the facts and then come talk 2 me. Only you yanks call it soccer, majoritry of countries call it football, in fact its very arrogant you callin it soccer, when the rest of the world call it football. Why you bringing ice hockey into this? like you said the yanks had sweet fuck all to do with creating it.
@MrBaggies4lyf Let’s see, basketball is a worldwide sport, baseball has a good following in Asia and Latin America, Ice hockey (while not our invention, but still popular in the US) is more popular in some European countries than soccer/football, and while the British have invented a lot of sports, saying that “baseball” and “soccer” are wrong terms is very very arrogant. Just because it’s different, doesn’t make it wrong. I think that English superiority complex is getting to your head.
