Leeds United have shown interest in signing Chelsea outcast Michy Batshuayi. Batshuayi sale could give Chelsea a huge boost in their effort to raise additional transfer funds this summer. Should Batshuayi make the move, it will also free a space in the squad for new arrival. Batshuayi is down the pecking order at the club with Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud ahead. With Timo Werner joining from next season, it makes sense for him to leave.

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa already knows the Batshuayi well. The pair had worked well together from their time together in France with Olympique Marseille. According to the Evening Standard, the Argentine is desperate to reunite with Batshuayi again at Elland Road.

Batshuayi has had loan spells at Valencia, Borussia Dortmund and Crystal Palace in recent years – with very little success- but with Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard now keen to improve his defensive line. A permanent move away from the club is now imminent for Batshuayi.

Chelsea have already spent over £80m on Hakim Ziyech and Werner. They need to sell their fringe players to help balance the books. Victor Moses, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater are other players that the club is desperate to let go this summer.

Batshuayi started just one Premier League game this season. Although he did manage to score eight goals and three assists from 24 appearances across all competitions. There are rumours of a return to Crystal Palace with Roy Hodgson not opposed to the idea. The striker netted five time in 11 games in a previous loan spell. West Ham is another Premier League club that is reported could be willing to sign the player. If Chelsea land Declan Rice, the Batman could be used to sweeten the deal as it is believed he wants to remain in the Premier League.
